"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and the power of His might." ~Ephesians 6:10 |

(via giantsbaseballtalk) Some things are in the Bible for reporting, NOT condoning. Ignorance says “Christians say it’s okay to rape virgins and kill kings ‘because it’s in the Bible.’” Also, it’s funny that people who make these claims generally don’t read the Bible entirely, because if they did they would see that people who did those terrible things pay for it (God is a JUST God).
“Suffering is love in adversity.
Covenant is love in longevity. Confrontation is love in honesty. Communication is love in receptivity. Forgiveness is love in redemption. Miracles are love in demonstration. Prophecy is love in proclamation. Healing is love in restoration. Worship is love in adoration. Faith is love in action. Passion is love in affection.” Kris Vallotton
It’s kinda like that.

By logical template: A = B Then: God = Love —- This is an interesting conclusion that is seemingly rather elementary. Nonetheless, it’s one that I hadn’t thought of before. Though it’s no deep, theological mystery, I still think it’s an interesting thought to toy with that our earthly marriage vows are based on the very personality traits of God. This is to say: “Act like God all the time; otherwise, I will grow disappointed, resentful, and then so miserable that I feel like I have the legal right to divorce you.” No wonder so many of our marriages end. The standards we set for our spouses are impossible to achieve. This also explains why when I watch marriage shows on TV or go to secular weddings, the vows seems so…empty. They recite and repeat all the same words that Godly marriage vows do, but the meaning behind them is simply not there. When you realize that no one will truly satisfy you like He can, then it won’t surprise you when your husband or wife lets you down (or the other way around). Choose God first, because only He is true love.<3
(Source: littlereminders) Quit posting Bible verses and “I love God”s in one update and then swearing, promiscuity, and partying in the next. Your hypocrisy is showing, and you’re the reason Jesus is mocked. James 3:10 /endrant
Thanks for that timely reminder. *puts down fists* (Source: moresweetthanbitter, via impactofreason-deactivated20130) A great article on Ephesians 5:22: |
